The Center for Community Engagement at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers a unique self-reflection workshop with writer Adam Sydney Saturday, February 9, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., PB-5. Cost is $60.
Unlocking the Stories of Your Life teaches participants to learn to apply the fundamentals of storytelling to important life events and gain a new perspective on self, relationships and one’s own path in the world. Participants will share short life stories in class and work together in a workshop environment, focusing primarily on discussion and self-growth rather than on writing. Participants are asked to bring a notebook, pen and/or laptop.
Adam Sydney has taught writing, filmmaking, and marketing classes for more than 10 years, and presently works as a judge for the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards. He has also published three novels.
