The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers an introductory workshop on genealogy with Nicole Sallee. Classes are on Tuesdays, January 30 - March 20, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. in UCB Room 102. Tuition is $65.
Introduction to Genealogy teaches participants how to organize their information, understand what types of records exist and where to find them, how to search effectively, and how to navigate through the inevitable bumps encountered along the way. Basic computer skills are required to navigate researching on the Internet.
Sallee holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Rockford University and a master’s degree in library and information studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has worked as both a librarian and a teacher.
