The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers a workshop on genetic testing. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, November 7 - 28, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at UH Hilo’s University Classroom Building Room 101. Cost is $45.
Understanding Genetic Testing will teach participants the basics of genetics, what genetic testing is, and what kind of information they can expect to get from the variety of tests that are available. Instructor Olga Sideleva earned a Ph.D. in genetics from St. Petersburg University in Russia, and has over 20 years of experience in biological research.
