CCECS announces QuickBooks Online classes

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) offers QuickBooks Online workshops with Claire Akau, a UH Hilo accounting instructor with more than 15 years of QuickBooks Online experience. Classes can be taken for a bundled discount of $525 for all three, or separately for $190 each, and includes the textbook.

QuickBooks Online Part 1 introduces accounting basics, including how to read and understand financial statements utilizing QuickBooks Online. Classes will be held Monday – Friday, October 16 - 20, from 5 - 8 p.m. in UCB Room 105.

QuickBooks Online Part 2 includes more in-depth accounting basics from setting up and cleaning up a QuickBooks account to closing the books at year’s end. Classes are Monday-Friday, October 23- 27, from 5 - 8 p.m. in UCB Room 105.

QuickBooks Online Part 3 covers advanced QuickBooks operations from entering transactions to reconciling bank statements and producing reports. Classes will be held Monday-Friday, October 30 – November 3, from 5 - 8 p.m. in UCB Room 105.

Certificates will be awarded following successful completion of the program. Basic computer skills and a USB flash drive are required.

Private and non-government employers/businesses may qualify for a 50% tuition waiver through the State's Employment & Training Fund (ETF). For details, visit
