The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) offers an intermediate skills workshop on Microsoft Office 2013 Suite from October 17-21, 4:30 –7:30 p.m., in UH Hilo’s UCB Room 105. Tuition is $275 and includes the textbook.
The course is designed for individuals with a basic understanding of Microsoft Office. Jo’el Nathansen, a seasoned instructor with the Department of Education, will show students how to utilize advanced workflows, techniques, and tools in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Topics of instruction will include advance formatting, PDF creation, creating templates, and linking web pages. Certificates will be awarded following successful completion of the program. The ability to operate a computer, have basic Microsoft Office experience, and a USB flash drive are required.
Private and non-government employers/businesses may qualify for a 50% tuition waiver through the State’s Employment & Training Fund (ETF). For details, visit
