The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers a one-day writing intensive workshop with Frances Kai-Hwa Wang on Saturday, July 30, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in University Classroom Building (UCB) Room 331. Cost is $50.

The workshop is part journaling and part activism with numerous short writing exercises that teach simple but powerful methods to get ideas onto the page in order to persuade, convince, and move people.

Wang is a writer, speaker, activist and multicultural educator who teaches at the University of Michigan. She is the author of “Where Lava Meets the Sea—Asian Pacific American Postcards from Hawaii.”

For more information and to register, contact CCECS at 932-7830 or visit http://hilo.hawaii.edu/ccecs/.
