Zachary Nanbu, a senior majoring in Linguistics, will study at Doshisha University, Japan, for the Spring 2016 semester.

The award is an endowed scholarship that honors the memory of McVickar by perpetuating her belief that an opportunity to be in an unfamiliar country and culture would lead to a more tolerant and peaceful world.
