The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers keiki art classes with Kellie Miyazu for ages 8-12.
In Art for Keiki: Creative Sketching, students will explore and develop drawing skills through doodling and sketching activities that stimulate creativity and imagination. This is the perfect class for any child who loves to draw, one who feels like they don’t know where to start, or one who falls somewhere in between. Classes are held on Wednesdays, September 4-25, from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. in UH Hilo’s PB-5 classroom. Cost is $55.
Kellie Miyazu is a graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo with a Bachelor of Arts in Art. She is the creator and coordinator of the Youth Arts Series at the East Hawaiʻi Cultural Center, teaches art at Waiakeawaena Elementary School, and works with E.B.
