The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo invites the public to the 6th International Scientific Workshop on Angiostrongylus cantonensis and Angiostrongyliasis (rat lungworm disease), to be held January 5-8, 2020, at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. There is no fee, but all attendees must register by September 1 at https://hilo.hawaii.edu/conferences/rat-lung-worm-2020/.
Experts from around the world will gather to present recent developments in detection, treatment, prevention, education, ecology, and more.
“In addition to the general public, I hope students, researchers and health care professionals join us, as well as UH Hilo INBRE (National Institute of Health’s IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence) students, past and present,” said Dr. Susan Jarvi, who is coordinating the workshop.
