The Center for Community Engagement at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers a workshop on writing for visual media with Adam Sydney on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. – 4 pm., in UH Hilo’s PB-5. Cost is $60.
Writing Stories for Visual Media will teach participants how to hone their writing abilities to produce effective, engaging stories that capture the audience’s attention through a variety of visual strategies. Participants are asked to bring a notebook and pen and/or laptop.
Adam Sydney has taught writing, filmmaking, and marketing classes for more than 10 years, has two master's degrees in screenwriting, and presently works as a judge for the PAGE Screenwriting Awards. He has also published three novels and has worked as a journalist, creative director at an advertising agency, and the head of development at a film production company.
