The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers Spring Break Camp: Cultural Explorations of our Island ‘Ohana March 18 - 22, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., in the UH Hilo Old Gym. The camp is designed for students ages 7-9. Cost is $175 and students must bring their own snacks, lunches, and water.
Students will celebrate the cultural diversity of Hawaiʻi Island by exploring arts, language, music, and more. Keiki will be introduced to a different culture each morning, gaining a richer understanding of the Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Pacific Island, and Hawaiian people and their lifestyles. The afternoons will bring a different kind of exploration through gymnastics exercises, messy art, and water play.
