The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) offers a workshop on abstract expressive painting on Saturday, November 4, 9 a.m. - noon, at the Manono Campus, Building 394, Rooms 1-2. Cost is $55 and includes all required materials.
Art for Everyone: Abstract Expressive Painting Workshop will teach participants the skills they need to produce small, personalized paintings. Students will complete one abstract expressive painting during the class. Canvas stretching and preparation will also be covered, leaving students with a blank canvas ready for their next work.
Instructor Kellie Miyazu is the creator and coordinator of the Youth Arts Series at the East Hawai‘i Cultural Center, and also teaches art at Waiakeawaena Elementary School and with E.B. DeSilva’s EdVenture after school enrichment program.
