A junior kinesiology and communication major at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo is the fifth recipient of the Audrey S. Furukawa Study Abroad Scholarship.
Furukawa presented the award to Kirstie Naone, a Mililani High School alumna who carries a 3.74 grade point average. Naone is attending the University of Stirling, Scotland, during the Fall 2013 semester.
The ASF Study Abroad Scholarship was created to provide a UH Hilo student an opportunity to study abroad. The recipient must have at least a 3.2 GPA with preference given to Hawai'i high school graduates.
