The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) conducts a pair of one-day technology workshops at the Hawai’i Community College Palamanui campus on Saturday, February 13, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Google Classroom with Jo’el Nathensan is designed for teachers wanting to create a paper-free classroom. Participants will learn how to seamlessly integrate Google Docs, Google Drive and Gmail to create assignments, provide feedback for in-progress and completed work, and communicate with students individually or as a class without paper. The session will be held in Room B-125. Tuition is $55.
Learn the Basics - Apple iPhone Introduction will cover the essential functions to make iPhone experiences more enjoyable and less frustrating. Instructor Evan Clark will cover a wide-range of topics, including basic navigation, missed calls/call log, texting, setting up caller I.D. photos, voicemail, using the camera, finding and sharing photos, connecting to Wi-Fi internet, and more. The class meets in Room B-126. The cost is $65. Basic iPhone knowledge and an iPhone 4S or higher with a charger and cable are required.
