The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo announces two popular dance classes beginning in February.
Tap Slam is offered on Thursdays, 5 - 6:30p.m, from February 4 – April 7. Cost is $90. The class introduces students to foundational tap dance footwork and techniques. Beginner and intermediate levels are welcome. Instructor Stephanie Collins is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and life-long dancer. Students will need to purchase their own tap shoes.
Lyrical Hip Hop is a creative dance class that combines several dance styles including hip hop, contemporary and modern. Classes are held on Fridays, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., from February 5 – April 15, with no class on March 25. Cost is $80. Instructor Trey Saunders brings his unique style and flavor to this class that is open to all levels, ages 12 and up.
