The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) has developed a new Presenting with Confidence series led by instructor Christine Hijirida. The workshops are comprised of two 3-hour sessions that can be taken separately at a cost of $45 or bundled together as a single workshop for $80.
“How to Put Your Best Foot Forward as a Speaker” will teach participants how to build confidence by organizing their thoughts and information into an effective delivery. Participants will learn why body language is important for a communicator to understand as they gain the tools and resources to enhance their communication skills and refine their presentations. The session will be held on Thursday, September 17, from 5 – 8 p.m. in UH Hilo’s K110.
“How to Reach Your Audience” looks at successful strategies to keep an audience engaged and energized, and offered on Thursday, September 24, from 5– 8 p.m. in UH Hilo’s K102.
