The University of Hawai’i at Hilo’s College of Continuing Education and
Community Service (CCECS) is offering a course on effective business writing
techniques entitled Business Writing for Results. The class will be held on Thursday, August 6 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in UCB 331.
Participants will learn how to shift their perspective in business writing and
professional communication to get what they want by increasing audience awareness and re-focusing on the reader rather than the writer. Instructor Anne Miller will demonstrate ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness in all business communication from planning through completion by using simple and proven techniques for emails, letters, memos and reports.
Tuition is $150. Private and non-government employers/businesses may qualify
for a 50% tuition waiver through the state’s Employment & Training Fund (ETF). For
