The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers “People Who Made History,” an informational and interactive learning experience, on Wednesdays, July 1-August 5, 5:30-7 p.m., in UH Hilo’s Science and Technology Building, Room 118. Cost is $40.

Instructor Tom Goltz guides participants in an exploration of some of the most outstanding, unusual and influential figures in history, beginning with “Hawaiian Princess Nahi`ena`ena, Love Caught between Cultures.” Participants will then get to determine the next stops on the journey, based on a list of 25 topics.

Goltz lived and studied in Spain and has traveled extensively. He has taught at Waiakea High School and is a guest lecturer on cruise ships.

For more information or to register, call CCECS at 974-7664 or email ccecs@hawaii.edu.
