The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) is accepting registration for an upcoming series of classes on Medical Terminology. The classes will be held on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – noon, March 7 through April 25, at a location to be determined on the UH Hilo campus. Tuition is $350 and includes the textbook. A 50% discount is available through the Employment and Training Fund (ETF), subject to eligibility. The application deadline is February 20.

The course provides a basic overview of medical terminology which is essential to many fields within the healthcare industries, including coding, case management, clinical trials, health information technology, and medical translation.

Instructor Eileen Lovell, MSN, PHN, RN and associate professor with the UH Hilo School of Nursing, utilizes a face-to-face format that provides opportunities to ask questions and receive customized instruction. Upon completion, students will be better prepared to work in healthcare or biomedical environments.
